Our Work

25 years of design for people!

We made these accordion style flip books and sold them off of our educational website, Switzerland, Australia, Germany, Canada, USA, and other places.  The site was very popular, won awards, and served as a great portfolio piece for us. To visit this site, contact us The book also received rave reviews from purchasers: (to order a book, contact us!)

about previews of the current edition
"...I found just the very quick look I was able to give it provided me with some valuable insights on a couple of sections of the form. Seeing the old posture with the larger circles makes some of the applications more clear and that helps me with the proper focus.

Keep at it. It will be a valuable addition to Tai Chi literature."

"...Very intriguing and practical design. Reminded me a little of Q's gadgets in the James Bond movies. ... "

about the first edition
"the book just arrived. It is terrific.
Thanks very much and keep up the good work.
"

Website for a small business owner selling imported baby carry scarves online.  Feature article in Chicago Tribune and started this company off. Selling scarves? Selling closeness to your baby.  Selling a vision for family and community. Scarves and classes.

"Webbed Feet Design was instrumental in my being successful (on a very small but important scale) in online retail
May I say that Rima McCabe not only designed an easy to navigate and attractive webpage for a product and service which were not very well known until a few years later, she was also a very good listener and had a knack for intuiting what her clients needed. I received so many compliments on the site. Its beauty lay in its simplicity that focused on the product and the people that were going to use it. ... so many memories. Thanks again!"

Online branding for this art gallery, with stunning, powerful results.

The Sysmex site we created to go with existing advertising materials for World Wide Access sold a new blood analyzing machine to Johns Hopkins, within the first month up!

This business card was a real hit, several people said "I want one!" they loved our Art Directors' feet so much.  And two of those later joined our team! one salesperson and one programmer

From the projects we did for the sales promotions company, a laptop presentation with promotional concepts for Gillette and ty-ins with other products.

This was a mailer we created about their work for Dunkin' DonutsTthey got three new clients (hundreds of thousands of dollars) from this mailing!

from the web design projects we did for Metromail and Experian, a number of years ago. utilized a content management system called BroadVision.   This website received a positive review in Ad Age!

After our redesign, a measurable quantity of visitors went through and asked for an offer, filling out the forms, which was one of the project's goals.  A lot of big brand name sponsors joined! These were some of the offer icons we designed for them.

From the web design projects we did for the Computing Technology Industry Association CompTIA,  we beat out ad agency Ogilvy and Mather for this account, and worked closely with their inhouse team to redesign their corporate site so that the visitor could get to their destination in 3 clicks or less

The projects we did for this business owner, a woodworker, business cards and website and forms and work portfolio. He was able to successfully bid more for his work!

resumes & portfolios

From the web site portfolio and resume and grant proposal we did with this artist, getting her the grant, and a prestigious gallery show at Hyde Park Art Center, and a job teaching at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

We started working with this entrepreneur "Stone Specialists, LLC" on their branding and supported their businesss with design over the years: creating business cards, a form for proposals and invoicing, company uniforms, a print ad, a story about their company that was published, and this brochure, which they handed out at trade shows and to new contacts.   And when they made a website for mobile we consulted to help optimize it.  Content, structure and writing/editing, we are also able to help with.

Restoration or care of your natural stone? We recommend these guys!   contact us, we'll be happy to connect you.

Each year we work with this artist client on holiday cards, that get them new business for  the new year. We've also helped with online art sales. This painter sold 3 pieces recently (!), through her own talent and efforts, but we were happy to help a little bit.

For the Field  Museum our CEO consulted on choosing a web design firm.  Then we went on site and did several design projects, including stationary, brochures, maps, and a logo for 'The Green Ambassadors' they still use.

For the past three years we've designed and maintained this popular band's website, collaborating with their artist frontwoman who created their posters and collaborated with us on the design of their site.  html5 (We have other examples of musician sites, too, if interested contact us...)

designed this site years ago and more recently converted it Wordpress to work better in phones. Great charitable community organization. Sons and Daughters of Italy in America.

This is a  wordpress Woocommerce shopping cart that we created in collaboration with our cards-artist and programmer clients. They later made a sleek php version which launched a few months ago. May of 2020. And their decks of medieval playing cards are selling like hotcakes!  To view this and other sites we've co-built, contact us!

More recently  we began to teach Tai Chi live, (Dec. 2016 - Dec. 2019) on site, at several healthcare facilities: Northwestern Memorial Hospital Clinic 3 yrs 2x/week, Amita Health- Clinic 1 yr 1x/week, and The Cup House 1 month 3x/week.  We did all promotion for the classes, i-cluding posters, and served tea prior to classes.

"We take a developmental approach to healing. Incremental. Mind and body. Educational.
We teach the ancient Art of Tai Chi. Helping people heal is riveting! Doing a little bit better -- each day, on their own... taking steps in the right direction."

Heres some information about our Tai Chi classes at Northwestern Memorial Hospital Stone Institute.
They were twice a week for three years and we did the 108 wu form

The results from our Tai Chi classes have been truly astounding.

  • One formerly sedentary student lost over 65 lbs. Tai Chi got him started.
  • Another student's knees always hurt and now don't.  (!)
  • Two of my students are taking less medication now.
  • Transformation of life force and creative flow.
  • My MS patient improved her balance and could stand on one leg, turn gracefully, and walk without her walker.
  • Arthritis sufferer said the pain went away from just one class.
  • Some report unleashed creativity.  Some find the abiltity to make creativity stop!
  • We get students from the Ability Lab, with fibermyalgia, and stroke survivors who are using Tai Chi to rehabilitate.   Actually at one point I had 4 stroke survivors in my class.  One just wanted to improve her coordination, as multiple mini-strokes had left her not so sure.
  • Others are afraid of falling, and just improving their leg strength a bit makes a big difference in their balance and stabilty.
  • Applying Tai Chi principles -- able to stand up to people and hold their own ground without getting upset.
  • Able to bring things full circle in other areas of life.
  • Able to be centered amidst outer chaos, or inner turmoil.
  • Comraderie in class makes it even more fun ..
...and a great place to network, just like college, sometimes make work connections and lifelong friends

Our Process

We do goal oriented design work, collaborating closely with our clients. And wearing many hats.
We have an excellent process that we came up with, and we use to get measurable results.
It works really well.

The magic. The mood. The tone. That's from the Art.
Here are some examples of our Art Director's fine art, click here.
